With macOS Big Sur and Macs with Apple Silicon on the horizon, I wanted to give a quick update on my Mac apps.
All of them are now available in a new version, making them run nicely under macOS Big Sur, and have been recompiled to natively run on Apple Silicon.

Here’s a quick run-down of what else is new:

SiriMote uses the Mac's media keys (e.g. Fast forward, rewind, play/pause on the F9, F7 and F8 keys). So if the app supports those keys, it should work with SiriMote. Perhaps I'll try to contact Kodi and Plex and see if they'd like to support those media keys. Maybe you can, too. Hello, everyone. My name is Matt, I'm the developer of Eternal Storms Software. I recently released a freeware app: SiriMote, outside of the Mac App Store. The reason I could not release it on the Mac App Store is that it uses CGEventPost to simulate keypresses (for example, when the play/pause button is pressed on the Siri Remote, the Play/Pause media key (on the F8 key) of the Mac's.

SiriMote lets you control any applications on Mac that play media, such as iTunes, Spotify, QuickTime, Keynote, Photos (Slideshows), and many more. Unfortunately, it only works with the buttons on the remote ­ the touchpad itself won’t control your Mac.
